Weekly Meditation Schedule
The Olean Meditation Center offers a wide range of weekly meditation sessions to meet the varied needs and schedules of the community. All sessions are in-person, free, and open to the public. Although the practices are based on Buddhist meditation, people of all faiths and beliefs are welcome.
No previous meditation experience is required. For those who are new to meditation, we offer beginning instructions 15 minutes before start time.
All are invited to join us for optional tea and fellowship afterwards.
Meditation for Wellbeing
Following a short presentation, there is a 30-minute guided meditation and time for discussion. The meditation is based on Buddhist techniques but is presented in a secular way, focusing on bringing the benefits of meditation into daily life.
Sessions start with a short aspiration prayer and meditation instruction followed by a 30-minute silent or guided meditation. Discussion after the meditation is based on a weekly dharma topic.
