Known for his ability to connect with patients, families, health care providers, and students alike, Dr. Witte emphasizes that while medicine often focuses on extending life, hospice is about preparing patients and families for life’s final journey with compassion, dignity, and peace. He describes his work as hospice medical director as the greatest privilege of his career.
