About the event

Jennifer examines the role of open dialogue about death in fostering resilience, meaning-making, and community connection. Drawing on her lived experience of spousal loss and subsequent work as an author, facilitator, and grief support leader, Jennifer Sanfilippo considers how personal narratives can illuminate universal aspects of the human condition. The talk underscores the importance of integrating conversations about mortality into our collective understanding of life’s value and sanctity. Emphasis is placed on compassion, relational connection, and the normalization of end-of-life dialogue as essential components of public health and communal well-being. Participants will gain insight into how grief, when openly acknowledged, can be reframed as a pathway toward grace, empathy, and social cohesion. Jennifer's book is entitled Our Last Walk Home: Love, Cancer, and the Agony of Letting Go.

This event is free of charge. Donations are welcome.
