We are teaming up with The Cattaraugus County Department of Aging to offer a Death Cafe at their Nutrition & Caregiver Resource Center as part of their programming to honor caregivers leading up to National Family Caregivers Month in November. All are welcome to attend and we hope the OMC community will turn out to support this effort to introduce Death Cafes to their clientele. The address is 3 West Main St., Allegany, NY.

A Death Cafe is a free-form conversation about death, whatever that means to the people who come. There are no agendas or themes – and we are not a grief support group or educational meeting. We simply gather to eat cake, drink tea and explore our perspectives on mortality. We provide the tea and cake and you bring your stories, thoughts, and questions about death.
