Celebrate the arrival of summer with yoga and a drum circle.

Schedule of events:

10:30am - 11:40am - Yoga with Yogi Kothari

11:40am - 12:30pm - Lunch

12:30pm - 1:45pm - Drum circle with Rich Schuler (outside under the portico, weather permitting)

Yoga practice will begin with Pranayama ( technique for expansion of your life force through certain  breathing excercises), followed by some postures and Sun Salutation (a series of postures to increase the fire energy and invigorate the Body). The session will conclude with deep relaxation.

Dr. Yogi Kothari has practiced yoga for over 30 years and completed the teacher's training course at the Himalayan Institute. Yogi  has lived and worked in the Olean area for nearly 40 years and after retirement, she traveled to India to receive further training from 'Patanjali Yog Pith' and the 'Isha Institute'.  Since the Covid pandemic, she has taught over 500 online yoga classes. 

Rich Schuler is a performer, experienced teacher and hand drum facilitator of all ages and experience levels. His drumming events are hands on and interactive helping people share the "Power of Rhythm" first hand, encouraging self expression while the focus is on fun and creativity. Rich is the creator of Jamestown Thunder Drum and dance circle with over 300 members. No experience is necessary and drums are provided for his events.
